We’re interviewing Michael Swart, Head of Marketing, at the Planet Blockchain event on 21 July, 2018.

 

Q1. It’s a pleasure to see you, Michael, and welcome to Dubai.  RTS’ objective is to create an entire trading ecosystem – RTS Classifieds, RTS Wallets, RTS Gaming, RTS e-commerce, RTS Payment Gateway, RTS Exchange and RTS Debit card (RTS Blockchain Linked Card). What are you trying to achieve with your ambitious project? 

 

We at RTS want to develop a self-sustaining ecosystem where you can use your tokens on a day to day basis and not just have them on exchanges. When users see the flexibility of what they will be able to do with their tokens they will surely see more value in their tokens.

 

Q2. RTS has a membership and an affiliate programmes. Would you highlight some of the major features of these programs? What are some of the key benefits for the participants? 

 

To be a RTS membership holder means to join the RTS family. You will have access to the latest platforms when they are still in the development phase, have the opportunity to get your ideas developed and share in the profits. For the affiliate programme you have the opportunity to be one of the limited affiliate package holders that can give you up to 14% commission. There is no limit on the amount of people you can add to your network and no limitation on the amount of money you can earn per month. We have developed the affiliate program in such a way that you can achieve your ROI in little as 3 months if you only sell 1 affiliate package per week. This is unheard of in the affiliate marketing community.

 

Q3. On the business side, which markets – in terms of geography and demographics – do you intend to target in the first instance? Are there any specific plans to achieve global scale? 

 

We aim to be Global sooner than later, we have attorneys currently advising us in most geographical areas.

 

Q4. Let’s talk about the technology. You’re building your platform on Ethereum using ERC223 protocol. Most Ethereum projects use ERC20. Why did you chose ERC223? 

 

We believe that any amount of money spent, be it $1 or $100,000, has meaning to the person who spent it. So why would you want to risk the chance of sending your hard earned ETH to a non-ETH address? With ERC223, this risk is eliminated. The security on ERC223 protocol is also upgraded to do away with the faults of the ERC20 protocol, and it is backward compatible, so why not?

 

ERC20 prescribes a pull mechanism for retrieving the funds, especially with smart contracts. This means you have to pay the gas fee twice: first time to approve the transaction, and the second time to actually receive the funds. ERC223 manages to handle transactions without going through this lovely puzzle, so you only have to pay the fee once.

 

Q5. You’re planning to have crowdsale in April 2019. What should potential investors know about your project and your token? 

 

The aim for the RTS token is to be digital cash to buy, sell and trade with on all our platforms. We believe the ICO is there to allow customers to benefit from cheaper tokens and not to fully fund projects. We have already started developing most of our platforms and funding is not a problem. The Private Pre-Sale is already running and we have seen tremendous interest, especially due to the high Bonus percentages we give away.

 

Q6. What are your key priorities right now? What are you busy working on? 

 

We are working closely with our attorneys in multiple geographical areas to ensure we conform to legal requirements. Our developers are working around the clock to get rtstoken.com up and running to give our customers joining the RTS family a streamlined and enjoyable navigation experience. We have made significant progress and have actually developed a RTS Money Manager app for iOS and Android that will be launched late September this year. This project was not on the road-map, but one of our newly joined RTS family members had this idea and we turned it into a reality for her. The application gives you the opportunity to manage your hard earned fiat. The Money Manager app is not the same as our RTS Wallets, this is purely an income, expenses and budget application for fiat.

 

Q7. Is there anything else that you would like to tell our community, Michael?
